Nestled in Amish country on a quiet lake, The Cottages on Sand Lake are 5 properties we bought in June of 2021 when our kids were 8, 9, 10, 10, and 12 with the hope of creating life long memories with our family. We love that we also get the opportunity to share our little "resort" with others also.
We have 3 beautiful lakeside cottages to rent, one big farmhouse and a smaller 3 bedroom house. Only the 3 cottages are technically "on the water" but all have access to all the amenities offered including kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boat, row boats, large floating mat, floating trampoline, 3 docks, large swimming area, yard games, including croquet and badminton, life jackets, and a large fire pit area.
The Main attraction: The water.
Sand Lake is only a 102 acre sandy bottom lake. Its large enough to do all you water sports yet small enough that its rarely crowded. There is great fishing right off the dock including large mouth bass, perch, bluegill, walleye and flathead catfish. Sand Lake is clean and there are no lilly pads or weeds until you go way out past the docks making swimming fun for everyone. My kids love jumping off the dock! Take a paddle boat or kayak across the lake to Sand Lake County Park. Just two blocks away (if walking or driving) you can put your boat in the water with their boat ramp. The park also has a big, sandy beach area perfect for sunbathing or playing in the sand. Also a large play area for the kids.

30 minutes to Shipshewana for flea market shopping and to experience the best in Amish culture and cuisine.
30 minutes from Swiss Valley Ski and Snowboard Resort.
2 minutes from local golf courses.
6 minutes from the town of Centerville, 15 minutes to the city of Three Rivers, 45 minutes to Kalamazoo and about 2 hours 20 minutes to Chicago and Detroit.
